How to choose eyeglass frames online
Eydology sells low-priced, prescription-ready frames for adults and kids, plus camera and audio smart glasses. You choose a frame, then add your prescription and lens options on Eydology's product page.
What to look for
- A current prescription. You need your prescription numbers and your pupillary distance (PD). If your prescription is old, get a new eye exam first.
- Frame shape for your face. Rectangular frames add structure to round faces; round and cat-eye frames soften angular faces. Choose what you like wearing.
- Frame size. Compare the lens width, bridge and temple length printed inside your current glasses with the listing.
- Full, half or semi-rimless. Full-rim frames are the sturdiest and suit strong prescriptions; half-rim and semi-rimless frames look lighter.
- Lens options. Think about anti-glare coating, blue-light filtering and thinner high-index lenses for stronger prescriptions.
- Kids' frames. Choose light, durable frames that sit securely, and have a child's prescription checked regularly.

Before you buy
Keep your current glasses handy when you order, since their measurements are the quickest way to find a frame that fits. At these prices, many people buy a second pair as a backup or a different style for work. If you're ordering for a child, pick a frame they like wearing, since they'll keep it on more willingly, and choose durable, impact-resistant lenses. Double-check the prescription numbers you enter before you place the order.
